Gal Guardians: Demon Purge, the New Name of Grim Guardians: Demon Purge
Inti Creates has announced that it is changing the name of Grim Guardians: Demon Purge to Gal Guardians: Demon Purge in English-speaking countries in response to a complaint from the owner of the “Grimguard” trademark.
These countries include the United States, European Union, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. Indonesia will continue to use the name Grim Guardians: Demon Purge.

Inti Creates has announced that their recently released 2D platform action title, Grim Guardians: Demon Purge, will change its English title to “Gal Guardians: Demon Purge”. This change will launch across all platforms in the coming weeks, including the Nintendo eShop, Microsoft Store on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation Store on PlayStation 4 and 5, and Steam.
This change was made after Inti Creates received complaints regarding the title Grim Guardians: Demon Purge from the owners of the “Grimguard” trademark registered in the countries listed below.
Affected countries: United States, European Union, United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. In response to these complaints, the game title will be changed to “Gal Guardians: Demon Purge” in the listed countries, as well as other English-speaking regions.
Inti Creates is currently taking steps to change the title across all storefronts. Due to this, Gal Guardians: Demon Purge may be temporarily unavailable for purchase in some regions while this change takes place. Inti Creates extends its sincere apologies to affected customers as they strive to complete the name change as soon as possible and return the game for sale across all platforms and regions.
