Brad Smith: PlayStation’s Call of Duty ends in 2024
Speaking with CNBC, Brad Smith revealed that the current deal Sony Interactive Entertainment has with Activision Blizzard will “end next year”.
That means Call of Duty 2024, under the name Project Cerberus, will be the last Call of Duty of the Sony Interactive Entertainment deal. This leaves PlayStation with 2 other Call of Duty titles that are guaranteed to release on the platform if a deal with Microsoft is not reached.
Talking about the deal further, Smith said that the 10 years that Microsoft offered Sony Interactive Entertainment is better than what they currently have.
I think everyone looking at this would say that this is a better deal for Sony than the one they currently have with Activision Blizzard.
