Gone Gold, Starfield Releases Next Month
Along with the announcement, Betheda has also confirmed that players can preload the game on Xbox Series X/S starting August 17 and August 30 on Steam.
For your information, Starfield was originally scheduled for release in November last year, but in May 2022 the game received a delay until the first half of 2023. Unfortunately, in March they announced that Starfield would only be released on September 6, 2023.
Several editions of Starfield itself are already available for pre-order. The standard version of the game is priced at around $70 which includes the base game as well as being available through Xbox Game Pass for consoles and PC.
Meanwhile, the Digital Premium Edition and Constellation Edition are priced at around $300 and will come with the game’s first story expansion, Shattered Space as well as up to five days of early access from September 1, 2023.
Had the PS5 version of Starfield not been canceled after Microsoft acquired Bethesda back in 2021, the game would have at least released later than planned.

Xbox Game Studios head Matt Booty claimed in June that if Starfield had been released back then, it “would already have the fewest bugs of any Bethesda game that has ever shipped”.
