Tomb Raider Gets TV Series Adaptation from Amazon

The Hollywood Reporter reports that a TV series about Tomb Raider is in development at Amazon, with Fleabag writer Phoebe Waller-Bridge as a scriptwriter and executive producer.

The Hollywood Reporter also reported that Amazon has plans to create a new Tomb Raider movie and at least 1 additional video game in hopes of creating an interconnected world like the MCU.

Not much is known about these new projects, including who will play Lara Croft. When asked for confirmation, Amazon did not comment on the report.

Recently, Amazon made a deal with Crystal Dynamics to publish a new game in the Tomb Raider franchise.

The Tomb Raider franchise is part of Embracer Group’s USD300 million acquisition of Square Enix’s western studio.
