Ubisoft wants to make games more focused, instead of being able to do everything

The recent discussion about Ubisoft’s plans with its flagship franchise continues. As always, we’re back with the latest Assassin’s Creed news. Following the success of the Ubisoft Forward event held this week, Ubisoft stated that it wants to develop games that are more focused and innovative in some genres. So, what does that really mean? Let’s follow the latest gaming news here.

Those of you who have already tried Assassins Creed: Odyssey will know that the game offers a huge amount of content, with a total playtime of more than 120 hours. Odyssey is not only known for its huge open world, but also for its mix of cool elements from different genres. It starts with its focus on RPG, Stealth, Exploration, Dialogue Options, and even Naval Combat.

but now Ubisoft will no longer make games that can do everything

As amazing as this is, it’s not uncommon for gamers to be overwhelmed by the number of mechanics that need to be learned in a single game. Therefore, Ubisoft plans to no longer use the same formula in future games. In a report obtained by IGN, Ubisoft said it wants to make games that focus more on a few genres and innovate, rather than making games that can be anything and are inconsistent.

“We want to make one consistent decision in one game and go, ‘We’re going to do it, and we’re committed. [bahwa itu] “It’s okay,” said Fawzi Mesmar, Ubisoft’s VP of editorial. Many players may be on board with the previous concept, but not all of them agree, and that’s okay,” said Fawzi Mesmar, Ubisoft’s VP of Editorial. “We believe that a more focused game is the latest decision for those of you who love it.”

This decision is the reason why Assassin’s Creed Mirage will keep the classic formula

When asked if Assassin’s Creed Mirage was Ubisoft’s first step towards starting one, Mesmar replied that the series “it really is” was part of the strategy. It wouldn’t be surprising if Assassins Creed Mirage would offer the same experience as the classic series with its focus on Stealth, instead of bringing back the leveling system, naval combat, and selection of dialogue options.

This decision clearly received a positive response from many players. They hope that in the future Ubisoft can release new IPs with innovations that are more suitable for the audience. Just a reminder that, Assassins Creed Mirage is ready for release in 2023 without an exact release date. What do you think of the decision? Don’t forget to write your comments below.
